Don’t have a lip care routine? It’s time to start!
We spend hours (and a good chunk of our ‘monthly budget’) on skincare weekly, but tend to ignore our lips. Tired of your lips looking dry, dull and chapped? You’re 3 quick steps away from luscious lips!
Step 1 – Cleanse
Make your own lip cleanser (yes, we do love the homemade good stuff!) by mixing equal amounts of coconut milk and rose water. Massage this on your lips for 2 – 3 minutes after you take a shower, for soft and smooth lips. For extra pampering, add a little baby oil into the mixture every so often.
This is done with a lip scrub, which can be made out of equal amounts of lemon juice, tomato juice, yogurt, powdered sugar and a pinch of turmeric. Gently exfoliate your lips with this mixture for a minute, and wash off. Similar to facial skin exfoliation, this will remove dead skin on your lips and brighten them up.
Step 3 – Moisturise
The last but equally important step. Invest in a good-quality lip balm that will keep your lips nourished and looking great all day.
